We first tried this spot back in March after hiking Starved Rock and loved it! Came back this past month while visiting friends and went again. They have Gluten free burgers and lots of options good for adults and kids. They also had high chairs and were very accommodating. The overall ambiance of the place is industrial brewery and looks great.

We came here on two occasions -- one for dinner and another for drinks and an appetizer. We both enjoyed our cocktails and food. The staff was wonderful, and the ambiance was nice. We were both pleasantly surprised that it was one of the first restaurants in a long while that didn't have loud music playing in the background (thank you!). My one minor misunderstanding appears to be what I vs. the brewery consider "seasoned" fries to mean. I thought it meant garlic, paprika, onion salt, or other herbs, whereas, The Lone Buffalo appears to believe it just means salt. Still, I'd come back!

I just wanted to say thank you. This is our second time coming here and we LOVE this spot. Christina was amazing! She knew the menu and was highly educated on all the beers. We were all served with excellence. Christina, hats off to you and your ability to serve people! Well done! We will be back!

This spot was delicious! I came with a few coworkers for an early dinner back during the Oktoberfest special menu. I enjoyed all of the beers I tried (I ordered a flight) and my coworker enjoyed his cocktail as well. We split some wings which were well seasoned and the right amount of messy. I had the chicken club sandwich but got mashed potatoes as a side - both were delicious. My other coworkers got meals off of the special menu, but I know the chicken schnitzel was on the regular menu too. One of our group ordered that... it was huge but a perfect schnitzel thickness. He said it was really good. Our server was great and was very helpful with any questions we had. It has the brewpub feel that I very much enjoy, and I would definitely return.

The waitress was very friendly and helpful. She offered a splash of a beer I was interested in. I chose another which was more to my liking Vermillion River Weiss. Classic Hefewiezen banana clove, just tasty. I had the parmesan crusted Cod, asparagus, and a side of mashed potatoes. Excellent food. MNF was on the big screens, great ambiance. Loved the huge Copper brew kettle and mash tun behind the bar. I look forward to a return visit

We happen upon this place during happy hour, so we had the opportunity to sample several of their appetizers and beers. great food, service, ambience, and beer! Worth the stop after hiking starved rock. Probably the best in the area. We'll be back!

If you are in town - either camping, stopping by during a road trip, going/coming back from starved rock, etc) - the Lone Buffalo is definitely a solid restaurant to eat at. My sister and I stayed at the getaway cabins not too far away and this seemed like the best bet for a dinner out. It didn't disappoint! We were seated quickly at a nice big booth and experienced excellent service. I took advantage of the happy hour specials then a sampler of beers - enjoyed most that I tried! My sister chose from the Oktoberfest menu and picked the Best of the Wurst. Pretty delicious and my favorite was the curry brats. We also got the house soup of the day and the fried cheese curds - excellent cheese pull on the curds! I think the only let down was the watermelon & cucumber salad - it was pretty mid. I was expecting maybe a bit more feta and more of the Tajin flavor. Overall, still a solid pick and I would return if I am in the area again.
